Dr. James Loughman Lecturing students in Mozambique
Dr. James Loughman, Lecturer at the Optometry Department of the DIT is our resident Optometrists in Blanchardstown on Wednesday evenings and Sundays. James is also the Chair of the ” Giving Sight National Committee in Ireland”.
Mairead O’Leary Opticians have been providing high quality eye care to our customers for over 20 years. We carry the latest designer frames, spectacles and contact lenses in stock and have a wide range to select from. Our branches in Blanchardstown and Rathmines have in-house optometrists and opticians who are highly skilled and trained to look after your visual health needs. We have the latest optical equipment utilising the latest technology with which to conduct eye tests and detect any diseases or conditions which may result in vision loss. Our sight examinations include age group-based checks for conditions such as crossed-eyes or squint in children. For over-40s, our checks include tests for cataracts, macular degeneration and glaucoma among others.
We also provide corporate services to companies and organisations which include consultations on VDU policies, and Health & Safety programs for eye-sight. We help corporations select appropriate safety glasses for their employees once we carry out a full appraisal of the work environment and industry legislation.
