Flashers and Floaters
Are you seeing spots, flashes, or floaters before your eyes?
Floaters impact your vision and they appear to follow where you look.
Sudden onset of floaters may be a cause of concern
Longstanding floaters in front your vision are generally not a cause for concern. In some cases of a sudden onset, they can be symptomatic of another problem. These could be things such as a potential tear of the retina which can lead to a serious situation and even permanent vision loss. If caught in time it can be treated. A sudden onset should always be investigated by conducting a thorough sight examination.
