A major source of ‘high energy’ blue light is the fluorescent light. Some protection can be had by asking your optician for UV filters to be incorporated in spectacles. But the best protection is to supplement the naturally occurring protective macular pigments. These are yellow in colour and accumulate at the ‘yellow spot’.
